In late July, Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited southwest China's Sichuan Province, beginning his 8th domestic inspection this year. He then attended the opening ceremony of the 31st summer edition of the FISU World University Games and held a series of foreign affairs activities.
